The lake is very popular and well-attended for sport fishing. Here it picks up the rainbow trout (steelhead) it pacifiers, Yammi!

Year 1742 visited Linné disciple Pehr Kalm the mountain and found that there were only pike and perch in Hallsjön. Perch shall be almost black and very fat at the time.
Once there in Vargön will road signs shows the way up to Halleberg. After about 2.5 km on the mountain are there two different car parks to choose from. The first parking is Kungastenarna and the next is named Kungens kök.
It requires a card to carry on fishing in Hallsjön and the rates are at 100 or 900 SEK for a ten card. Fishing licenses can be purchased at the outdoor store snäjk in Vänersborg.
Fishing is open from 5:00 in the morning to 23:00 at night. Fishing rules and other rules are posted near the lake, right at the road barrier against the Kungens kök.

Hallsjön is narrow and has a smaller radius along the lake's profile. Thereof is the lake's opposite side not visible from the endpoints.
Hallsjöns length is approximately 25.2 km.
The only outflow for the water in the lake goes via Hallsjöbäcken. It flows due west to the mountain edge and faces against Nordkroken. The watercourse is draining most of the mountain.
Here are plenty of fishing piers and shelters along the lake. It's just to pick up the cookies and the coffee!
